 Blood sample dosage
Your tumor marker dosages are processed from a blood sample taken from you by a doctor or a nurse. Cancersafe® (owner of the "SmokerTest"®) has devised a procedure for the immediate mailing of your serum (got from the sample blood) : it reaches our lab facilities within 24 hours.
Blood sample kit
Upon receiving your order, Cancersafe® will send you by express mail:
- a blood sample kit;
- a return packing kit approved for air transport of blood products.
You will receive the blood sample kit and the packing kit within 24 to 48 hours (non working days excluded).

Blood sampling
You must make an appointment with your doctor or nurse for the early afternoon. Transport is always done at night, so keep in mind the importance of the timing. The doctor or nurse takes your blood sample with the kit you have received. You then place the tubes containing blood serum in the special protective bag, and again in the air transport approved packing kit, you received a few hours before.
For US or Canada residents, there is a special procedure with our partners, EMSI and Medisys, that will contact you directly.
Shipment to Cancersafe®
The next step is to send the sample to Cancersafe®: you will have received instructions from us included in your kit as to how to do this. The transporter (FedEx) will come and pick up your package kit at whatever address you choose in the late afternoon or early evening.
When do I get my results?
The test process takes only one hour and the results will be transmitted to you either by secure e-mail, or airmail, the same day Cancersafe®lab facilities receive your blood sample kit. Please indicate your preference when ordering.
Medical file
You can log on to our web site at any time using your password. This is optional : if you do not wish to have a file with us, just tell us when you order; you can also cancel your file at any time.
How much does it cost?
The all inclusive fee is $500 or Euros350, depending on the country.
Including:
- the analyses;
- the blood sample kit and packing kit material;
- all shipment costs (a very important part of total fee).
The doctor's or nurse's fees are your responsibility. In case of transport delay or loss of blood samples, we will send you a free new blood sample kit by return.
